Republican Bill Will End ACTUAL Freedom in America

How do you destroy a constitutionally limited democratic republic? One insidious law at a time.
In spite of the fairy tale Republicans weave about themselves being the guardians of freedom, they have ALWAYS been the party that actively works to take it away.
Whether it is violating international treaties, spying on citizens without judicial oversight or disappearing people in the name of “security,” today’s Republican Party is more of a threat to the dreams of our Founders than any religious zealot with explosives taped to his scrotum could ever be.
The latest Republican assault on freedom is the John McCain sponsored, so-called Enemy Belligerent Interrogation Detention and Prosecution Act of 2010. This anti-constitutional bill basically puts the Bill of Rights through a shredder and completely strips our hard-won 1st amendment right to free speech, the 6th Amendment right to a speedy trial and, if passed, would allow the government to detain indefinitely anyone with a dissenting political opinion, without charge or trial based only on “suspected activity”.
With not even a ripple of controversy or whimper from the corporate media protection racket, McCain, Leiberman and Republican co-conspirators seek to formally ensure that what the Bush Crime Family did to Jose Padilla could be done to ALL Americans – this time with the full trappings of law and legitimacy.

This freedom-destroying bill empowers the President of the United States with the rights of a king. Like King George, with whom we fought a bloody revolution for independence, the President can imprison in military custody ANYONE – (even you Republican trolls that stalk this site drooling on yourselves) – and may detain them without reading them their rights (because they no longer have any), without actually filing criminal charges and without ever going to trial to confront their accusers for the “duration of hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners.”
Given the Republican and Democrat in Name Only penchant for carrying out their Corporate sponsors’ wars for oil, this is tantamount to a life sentence without ever having all the rights our Founders bled and died for and handed down to us for safe keeping and leaves me again asking, “Why do Republicans hate America?” Why? Because a free, empowered, populace interferes with PROFIT.
We are now officially at the point in our history where even the concept of a Bill of Rights is considered “immaterial” and/or “irrelevant” and are officially one the road to a military dictatorship.
The Republican Party’s mission is to brainwash their rank and file dupes into believing that indentured servitude to transnational corporations (=) equals “freedom” and any attempt for our government of We The People to stand between us and rapacious corporations is an assault on “freedom when, in actuality, REAL freedoms are being insidiously stripped away.

John McCain may be nostalgic for a time before King John of England was forced by his nobles in the year 1215 to sign the Magna Carta (The Great Charter). This document was designed to check the power of an authoritarian King with a penchant of throwing anyone and everyone in jail without charge or explanation. Alas, many Americans are too dumb by design to realize that this document is the lynch pin of self-governance and any attempt to whittle it away is tantamount to treason – yet the main stream corporate media continues to distract us with the latest gadget or gossip.
Republicans, as a lot, cannot handle the principles and responsibly of self-governance that our Founders entrusted to us. Their true aim has always been to disempower We The People. Inside every Republican beating heart lies a secret (or not so secret) longing for an authoritarian “daddy” to save them from the monsters (real or imagined) that they create. The Republican worldview is one in which human beings are plugged into nice little categories and heirerachies. This is why they constantly long for the past. In their archaic world, women know their place, brown people say, “yessir massa” without complaint and white authoritarian “daddies” take their “natural” places high in the seats of power.
To Republicans, any form of progress is chaos so they must rail against it as some insidious plot. They actively thrive on chaos and division. As such, they cultivate it. Blacks against whites, straights against gays… whatever will distract from the fact that the real advisories are the wealthy 1% at the top who own our government against the rest of us.
Republicans ram through economic policies aimed at disempowering a once-empowered middle class. The age of powerful European Kings may be over, but it has been replaced by a new gilded age of Economic Royalists. These are our new Sovereign Lords and Masters and they can’t be bothered with the rights of the “little people” getting in the way of their authority.
Dumbass Teabaggers wave their pocket-sized copies of the Constitution that we can guarantee, because of their functional illiteracy, they haven’t read… They bring nothing but bully tactics and lies to our national conversation.
For example, in spite of the actual facts, these Teabagging idiots have been brainwashed to believe that the President is trying to take their guns despite the reality that President Obama has received a failing grade from the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence for his relaxing gun control regulations.
In spite of the fact that Health Insurance Reform is nothing but a giant handout to the Insuranee racket ghouls, they STILL scream on any corporate media outlet they can that it is Socialized medicine! I WISH!
The fact is – Truth does not get in the way of Republican manias.
Normal people (non-Republicans) know that the actual mission of the Republican Party is to create a large pool of cheap labor that their true constituents – the top 1% hoarding 90% of our wealth – can exploit.

If this legislation passes, America is officially done. Rest assured the bought-and-paid-for media will continue it’s silence save the latest celebrity scandal. Those Republicans, DINO’s and Democratic Party enablers who destroyed the dreams of our Founders will continue to wear their made-in-China American flag lapel pins while weaving myths about “freedom.”
