Fresh from sending 30,000 additional American soldiers to the land where empires go to die, President Obama accepted the Nobel Peace prize by justifying war and stating in a way that made emotionally vacant chicken hawks blush, “some will kill, and some will be killed.”

Evocative of his predecessor George W. Bush’s Orwellian musing, “when we talk about war, we’re really talking about peace,” Obama laid out the circumstances in which war is justified – in self-defense, to come to the aid of an invaded nation, or on humanitarian grounds, but conveniently omitted the real reason which historically most soldiers are sent into battle – to protect the profits of the rich and their multi-national corporations.

Almost a year into the first term of the man who promised “Change We Can Believe In,” the lack of will or inclination to deliver on this promise is forcing liberals to suspect that instead of the following in the footsteps of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a President who championed the working person and pulled America out of the first Republican Great Depression, we are getting a pseudo-extension of Bush’s third term.

You may be interested to know that I, Taradacktyl of RepublicanDirtyTricks.com, am an honorably discharged veteran of the Army National Guard.   There is a common mythology that supposes our military is strictly a Republican stronghold.   I understand that one liberal does make a whole Army, in spite of the “Army of One” campaign, but let me assure you that proud liberals love this country, are serving this country, and are fighting daily to make the dreams of our founders a reality.

Another myth that permeates the American zeitgeist without substantiation is that Republican politicians and Republican administrations care for our veterans and are good for the military when, in fact, Republicans are notorious for cutting veterans benefits while simultaneously possessing a pathological propensity towards using our men and women in uniform to fight battles for corporate America, rather than for the supposed “freedom” they loudly profess.

General Smedley Butler, author of the famous tome, “War is a Racket” summed up the military’s role in our broken capitalist system…

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”

Republicans only truly care for the military when they need to use them as props in a photo-op.

Today’s Republican dirty trick is brought to us by Republican Senator Tom Coburn, who has placed a “hold” on Senate Bill 1963 (S.1963), The Caregiver and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2009 – the bill that would ease the burden of family members and other private individuals who care for veterans disabled and severely wounded since 9/11, expand services for women veterans, make medical care easier for vets in rural areas and increase outreach efforts to homeless vets.

Are you as sick of Droopy-Dog Joe Lieberman as I am? Not only is he a useless, warmongering caricature of the worst aspects of American politics, as well as an insecure egomaniac who thrives on attention, he is a blatant political opportunist and hypocrite who says and does anything to get elected. On July 6th and October 23rd, 2006, Joe Lieberman, the Senior Senator from Israel, stood in front the people he pretends to represent and promised to work hard for “universal health care” (sort of like what Israel and every other civilized nation enjoys)  and “… to allow anybody in our country to buy into a national health insurance pool…” Addicted to the attention he’s getting from the mouth-breathing Right, he’s promised to create a big stink (see post below) if 45,000 Americans a year don’t continue to die and if millions don’t continue to go bankrupt in the “Pay or Die” health insurance racket that his wife actively lobbys for. It’s time for King Baby Joe to lose his committee chair.

We already know that Republicans are racists, hypocrites and treasonous America-haters, but now they can proudly “blasphemers” on their list of accomplishments.

The Jesus Christ found in the Bible is far too liberal for fake Christian Republicans who need a religious pretext to further their mission to turn the “Land of the Free” into “The United States of Serfs and Lords” so rather than adjust their greed-based selfish ideology, they have taken on the task of rewriting the words of the Christian Savior himself to eliminate Jesus’ Socialist bent and liberal bias.

It would be far better for Republicans to beat their willfully ignorant supporters over the head with a Bible featuring a “free market” Republican Jesus who heals the money changers and tells the dumb, lazy poor to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and marry a beer heiress, rather than the  Commie/Socialist Jesus in the liberal biased Bible who heals the sick without taking 30% profit off the top to give his Apostles fat golden parachutes.

It is often said that if you want to truly know a person, then meet their friends. The Republican Party is a nest of sociopaths, racists, and ignoramuses and, as is revealed in Max Blumenthal’s new book Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party, a prolific serial killer.

Blumenthal writes that while he wracking up murders of young women, Ted Bundy worked as a senior Republican operative and the personal driver to Republican Governor Dan Evans.

As a trusted member of the Republican inner circle in Washington State politics, Bundy was often given the task of infiltrating Democratic Party Rallies using the same disguises and tactics he also employed to kill women.

I am sure that Bundy’s Republican friends were not aware of his moonlighting activities, but once he was finally captured one prominent Republican wasted no time profiting off of his notoriety.

While on death row, Bundy was converted by James Dobson from a Mormon like admitted manic-depressive, alcoholic and suicidally inclined Glenn Beck into a born-again Christian and the poster-child for his anti-pornography campaign.  In a calculated gesture from one Republican to another, Bundy gave Dobson an interview that would introduce the Focus on the Family Founder to the American Public and catapult him to National prominence.

After Adam Weinstein reported on Newsweek’s blog his glowing review of the Socialized medical system known as TRICARE  he and his family enjoy, Republican hypocrite Joe Wilson has scrubbed the press release that contains the accolades from his website.

Before his words were disappeared, Wilson said of Socialized Medicine, “The number of individuals who choose to enroll in TRICARE continues to rise because TRICARE is a low cost, comprehensive health plan that is portable and available in some form world-wide.” Calling TRICARE “world class health care,” and concluding. “I am grateful to have four sons now serving in the military, and I know that their families appreciate the availability of TRICARE,”

54-year-old married Republican Assemblyman Michael D. Duvall has been a bad boy and has resigned after being caught on tape bragging like a 16-year-old about his extra-marital affairs with lobbyists.

Given that hypocrisy is a virtue to Republicans, Duvall had bragged on his website about the 100% rating he received from the Capital Resource Institute, a Conservative Advocacy group who claims it’s mission is “to educate, advocate, protect, and defend family-friendly policies in the California state legislature and at local government levels.”

“Assemblyman Duvall has been a consistent trooper for the conservative cause,” stated Capitol Resource Institute Executive Director Karen England. “For the last two years he has voted, time and time again, to protect and preserve family values in California.”

Blogger Mike Rogers, a gay activist featured in the movie “Outrage,” has done it again!  Rogers has previously outed Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) and Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) and now has confirmed Republican hypocrite South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer is a closeted homosexual.   Surprise. Surprise. Bauer is a conservative Christian who supported an amendment to ban gay marriage in the state and is just the latest in a laundry list of anti-gay Republican hypocrites who by day work to enshrine hatred, bigotry and homophobia into the laws of our nation while at night secretly enjoy sex with men.

It’s becoming quite a joke. A person can randomly throw a rock at any gathering of Republican Christian Cons and hit a self-loathing, anti-gay, closeted conservative homosexual.

Can you imagine a wonderful world where, rather than inflict their manias on normal society, Republicans simply get the psychological help they need, learn to accept themselves and leave their self-loathing agenda out of the American Body Politic?
