Thanks to the Supreme Court’s Citizen’s United ruling, the Corporate takeover of our government is complete and Karl Rove can now openly solicit massive contributions to his cause of getting his pudgy fingers on the neck of power in the name of our big-moneyed “betters.”

From Rawstory :
By David Edwards

A recent Supreme Court decision hailed by Republicans but condemned by most Democrats may be helping to stuff the coffers of conservative political groups founded by Karl Rove.

President George W. Bush’s former senior adviser admitted to Fox News Tuesday that his American Crossroads 527 and Crossroads GPS groups have benefited from the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision.

The Republican National Committee actually lost money in 2009 but Rove doesn’t think his groups are part of the problem. The party ended the year with $10 million fewer dollars than at the start of the year.

Fox News’ Jon Scott asked Rove if his groups were responsible for siphoning fundraising dollars away from the RNC.

SCOTT: I know that you yourself are mentioned in some of these articles as perhaps being part of the RNC’s financial problems because you’ve got this group, American Crossroads, which is raising money. Some suggest that the money that goes to American Crossroads might otherwise go to an organization like the RNC.

ROVE: Well that’s not correct, because American Crossroads is collecting money in excess of the individual contribution limits the RNC has allowed to give. What we’ve essentially said, is if you’ve maxed out the to senate committee, the congressional committee or the RNC and would like to do more, under the Citizens United decision, you can give money to the American Crossroads 527, or Crossroads GPS, so we’re not tapping the people who — if you’ve giving to American Crossroads, you’re fully capable, in all likelihood, of giving the maximum to one of the national committee organizations.

Jake Tapper of ABC News called the American Crossroads group a “shadow RNC” and Comedy Central’s Stephen Colberts recently joked, “And by giving the real power to the shadow party, the Republicans get to tiptoe around the firing of their first African-American chairman which is good because otherwise it would look like they are treating him differently because he is black.”

In January of 2010, the Supreme Court reached a landmark decision in the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission case. The court ruled that corporations could donate unlimited amounts of money to political organizations.

In his 2010 State of the Union address, President Barack Obama criticized the decision. “Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections,” said Obama.

“I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities,” he said.

The Republican Governors Association has produced an anti-government ad attacking President Barack Obama which would make Leni Riefenstahl blush. The ad appears on a site called RememberNovember.com- a not-so-veiled shout-out to the Guy Fawkes story glorifying domestic political terrorism… no doubt in the hopes to inspire the next Timothy McVeigh.

They RGA is trying to attract people to their website so they are not allowing others to embed the propaganda piece, but you can watch it here at the Huffington Post. Positioning themselves for the sake of their “average Joe” dupes as flag waving patriots, the RGA website features pictures of Barack Obama looking all “uppity” and “elitist” as well as quotes like this: “Remember November so that we can return America to its founding principles of freedom, personal responsibility and economic liberty. We Remember November so we, our children, and grandchildren can live with the freedoms our founding fathers intended.”

Of course, Republicans would love to convince normal people that they have the true heart of the Founders with their “let them eat cake” attitude towards anyone who wasn’t born to lay around a swimming pool waiting for a dividend check to arrive. Regardless of history or reality – that even George Washington hoped that America would always be a beacon of liberality to the world – and that the majority of the founding fathers were inspired by the liberal Enlightenment – a progressive movement which challenged the historical “natural” order of class structure, wealth and governance – the makers of the ad are confident in their 30-year assault on the American education system to know that the audience they are attempting to reach will not let facts get in the way of their manias, prejudices or fears.

What do you expect them to do? The Republican Party has absolutely nothing to offer 95% of the population. Until the day comes when they have completely dismantled our democratic system and returned the government solely to the upper class, they must try any angle to convince dupes to vote for policies that, if seen to fruition, will end the American middle class once and for all. To this end, Republicans and their historical metaphorical heirs – (loyalists/landed gentry…. ) have been on a mission to usher in a new age of ne0-feudalism/fascism – ALWAYS in the name of mom, the flag, and apple pie.

Their pattern is clear to anyone with a History 101 grasp on reality – fan the flames of Anti-government sentiment when not in the majority and tell your mouth-breathing dupes who want to meet you for a beer that their “freedoms” are under attack. Of course, the Republican definition of “freedom” actually means “indentured servitude to their transnational corporations.” Anything less than that is an assault on your liberty – liberty… that is… to be treated solely as a host from which rapacious corporations can suck profits. Ahh!! Is that freedom I smell, or rotting corpses of those who died because it was more profitable to settle a lawsuit than it was not to kill them?

Having no real agenda but to stop the middle class from getting too non-complaint, the ad seeks to mask the true Republican, pro-corporate, anti-worker, anti-democratic agenda actually as a defense against fascism. Ironically, many notable American political analysts from Sinclair Lewis to Huey Long predicted this scheme.

So…in other words… the people who have turned the middle class into economically insecure Serfs who must work 3 “uniquely American” non-union jobs to pay off their indentured servitude to the banks… have shipped our manufacturing base to China, have wiped their collective upper-class arse with the Constitution and… with no allegiance to country or community… have made the United States the LEAST upwardly mobile of all industrialized countries while blanketing the fruited plain with incessant pro-corporate propaganda with the sole intent to mobilize the huddled masses against themselves … THAT bunch of greed-centered sociopaths are protecting us against the “Tyranny” of our legally-elected government!?

These are fascists in the truest sense. They are traitorous bastards who HATE “We The People.” They hate the Constitution and will do anything to get their boney fingers around the neck of power so they can continue to rally ignorant useful idiots against the only institution strong enough to get the rapacious corporations off their aching back and regulate their gluttony in the name of the common good. In the least, the Republicans agenda is to return America to the Gilded Age system, when big business owned Congress outright, and the country was run directly for their benefit. Period.

Just like the “Business Plot” against FDR – they will stop at nothing to take power out of the hands of the people and continue our plunge into compliant Serfdom.

Like FDR said, “They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.”

Sinclair Lewis wrote, “When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”
Although, he didn’t foresee that fascism would also come with the expressed consent of the huddled masses duped into taking up the cause the very segment of society that is keeping them down.

It would be an amusing tale if it weren’t so tragic… and terrifying… for to follow this story to its inevitable conclusion is to rewind social progress to the time before the New Deal – and to eliminate the very social programs that are now making this “tax payers revolt” possible.

This, of course, is the mission of the richest men in America, David Koch. For a sick reason that can only be attributed to sociopathic greed or malignant narcissism, Koch is not interested in investing his billions for the betterment of the world, such as Bill Gates may do, but conversely has made it his life’s work to pull the social ladder up behind him and ensure that the working class and the poor get no more of the crumbs that fall from his table.

Like the AIDS virus masking itself in our body politic, Koch disguises his nefarious intent in the trappings of an “average” grassroots movement and thus rallies “average” people to the cause of destroying themselves.

The New York Times had an article about the Teabaggers – angry about the economic realities of their standard of living and ignorant by design that their downfall can be traced directly to the doorstep of Ronald Reagan and the very policies they, themselves, have been misled to advocate in the name of “freedom.” These low-information voters, like Medicare and Social Security recipient Diane Reimer, are newly minted to political causes. Like birds to shiny objects, they are attracted by the trappings of patriotism that mask the depraved agenda of transnational corporations who, with no allegiance to country or community, are currently turning “the Land of the Free” into “the United States of Serfs and Lords.”

The Tragedy is, if these Teabaggers are mad now – just wait until Koch’s world becomes a full-blown reality.

This, of course, is where the right wing media disinformation machine comes in again. In Koch’s own private apocalypse, with all our social safety nets dissolved, all those who fall will fall through the cracks and these people will be looking for someone to blame. The right wing media would, ideally, have us all fighting amongst ourselves while Koch and his ilk disappear behind the safety of their gated communities.

Koch is so morally bankrupt, rather than attempting to make the world a better place for all, he is investing his filthy money – passed on to him by his father – into confusing dupes already sucking on the government teat that it is their patriotic duty to take up his nefarious cause – and ultimately put another nail in their own coffin.

Read the New York Times article, “With No Jobs, Plenty of Time for Tea Party”, here.

More proof Conservatives hate America – they reject the truth of America’s liberal democratic roots and replace it with ideologically based mythology.
This latest attempt to flush liberals down the memory hole is in the spirit of the Conservative Bible Project, where dead-ender ideologues took passages out of the Bible that they deemed “too liberal,” the Texas Board of Education, a school system that is an embarrassment to anyone with a brain, is now actively assaulting America’s future by disingenuously rewriting history in an attempt to influence the future. This, of course, is in their direct fear that students might catch on that Conservative philosophy is anathema to a strong, vibrant and thriving middle class.

From the beginning of time, normal people have struggled to evolve in spite of the unending drag that “Conservatives” and their ilk put on progress. Historically, Conservatives fought human advancement as that typically meant that the huddled masses became empowered and the authoritarian kings and well-heeled aristocracy were dethroned.

This feudal system thrived on a hierarchical balance of power sustained by the systematic propagation of ignorance – typically with the complicity of organized religion employed to appease the natural anger of oppression with promises of paradise after the “betters” had worked you to death.

From these Dark Ages came the Age of Enlightenment, trumpeted by liberal philosophers such as John Locke, who replaced the Divine Right of Kings and established religion with the political and philosophical concept that people form states to create and maintain a social contract which benefits EVERYONE – not just the top 1%.

The Founding Fathers were students of the Liberal Age of Enlightenment, recognizing the value of government enforcing the social contract, secular authority and rule of law.

Thomas Jefferson was also a true student of John Locke, directly adopting many of Locke’s ideas from his Two Treatises of Government into our founding documents. Jefferson was also a staunch advocate of the separation of church and state – another concept Conservatives cannot abide.

With the mind to create people stupid enough to vote Republican, the Texas Board of Ed have actively removed Thomas Jefferson from textbooks, not just to be distributed within the borders of the failed state Texas, but to infest school system’s country wide. The Texas Board of Ed has replaced Jefferson with John Calvin, a man who believed that God Almighty expressed either his anger or accolades on human by making them rich or poor. This view, of course, exonerates society at large from the responsibilities of creating a world that works for everyone. In other words, “the poor?” “FUCK ‘EM!”

Jefferson was not alone in his liberal enlighten views, Washington himself stated, “As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality.” I often wonder what the Father of our Country would think today if he knew that sick, ideologues were altering the past in order to control the future?

Anyway…. The American Revolution inspired the French Revolution, and in turn sparked a wave of liberal governments in nations across Europe, Latin America, and North America. Liberal democracies eventually survived 2 world wars – even with ideological challenges from fascism and communism – two distinct political philosophies today’s Conservatives are desperately trying to get their average dupes to confuse with liberalism.

The truth of the matter is that America was founded in the shadow of the Liberal Enlightenment, and many of the Founders themselves so believed in its promise that they created a secular government of, by and for THE PEOPLE.

Still, there were others – loyalists, monarchists, CONSERVATIVES of their day that were dragged kicking and screaming into the light and have been attempting to roll back the Enlightenment ever since.

Make no mistake – today’s Republican Party and Conservative ideologues are actively engaged in a class war with the aim of creating a modern state of serfs and lords.
To actually admit that fact would risk even their Stockholm Syndrome suffering “everydupes” catching on to the fact that they are the Sonderkommando to their own demise, so instead they mask it in the mantra of “small government,” knowing that government is the only power that We The People can employ to get their rapacious moneymaking corporations off our already-breaking backs.

As opposed to the philosophy of liberal democracy, whose successes can be actively exampled in highly successful governmental systems on all continents, the fruits of Conservative governance is typically evidenced by a shrinking middle class simultaneously accompanied by windfall the profits of a handful of rich profiteers.

In other words, the REAL Conservative agenda is to take us back to the dark days of hierarchical rule, placing a select few businessmen (noblemen) on the throne.

With this aim, Texas continues to be an economic and intellectual drag on the rest of the United States, continuously threatening secession. We can only hope that on this endeavor they are successful, if only to contain their ignorance.

According to a report titled “Texas on the Brink” by State Senator Eliot Shapleigh, this is how Texas ranked in 2009 among the 50 States:

Knowing that Faux News viewers are stupid enough to vote for Republicans, Glenn Beck, looking ruddy and puffy as usual most likely from his admitted alcoholism, ranted on his corporate protection racket about his dreams for another terrorist attack in the United States.

Taking a break from his usual trolling for Presidential assassins, Beck indulged his other favorite pastime of fear mongering by giving his mouth-breathing followers a glimpse into his fantasies of Al Qaeda murdering Americans and destroying an American city.

Beck, committed to the ongoing campaign to dupe xenophobic, willfully ignorant, rank and file Republicans of the truth that their party actively works against average working people, also took the opportunity to weave the often utilized convenient fairy-tale myth of the “rugged individual” in order to assuage them of the nagging fear that Republican policies have destroyed the American Dream.

Beck and his corporatist elite co-conspirators have a vested interest in propagating these fairy tales in order to divide Americans. Their song is old, played out and stale.

In fact, during a time when it was considered an asset for American Presidents to be educated and well-spoken, John F. Kennedy was also battling the same misleading memes. He said, “For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie–deliberate, contrived and dishonest–but the myth–persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The myth of the rugged individual is mainly a Hollywood construct that came to life in dime-store novels and John Wayne movies. In the reality-based world it is most-often a partnership between government and people that made much of American expansion and innovation possible.

In that same speech, John F. Kennedy said, “The solid ground of mutual confidence is the
necessary partnership of government with all of the sectors of our society
in the steady quest for economic progress.” Read the full text of that speech here.

Beck also appeased the inherently cowardly ordinary Republicans with a fake populist rant about how America “defeated Communism” in spite of the fact that Communist China manufactures all the crap they get from Wal-Mart, holds more US government debt than any other country and has aided Republicans in destroying the American Middle Class by forcing American’s to compete for jobs with Chinese workers making 16 cents a day.

Beck helps the corporatist machine he protects, hide its crimes in the smoke of myths that seek to rewrite the past and the present, dividing “We The People” into a country of fearful and suspicious loners, and like all sociopathic thieves, they steal the American dream while pretending to help us look for it.

We all know that in the chest of every Republican beats the heart of a coward longing for an authoritarian daddy to save him or her from the monsters, real or imagined, that they create.

In their ongoing effort to criticize every move that a Democratic administration makes, Republicans are currently drumming up hysteria about the fact that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, one of the alleged masterminds of the September 11th terrorist attacks, will actually be tried in a court in New York City rather than detained indefinitely without charges or tried in secret.

During an interview with Andrea Mitchell, cowardly Republican Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond joined chorus of Republicans pooping their diapers about putting a terror suspect on trial rather than violating rights dating back to the Magna Carta.

Bond: Well I think it’s an insult to the memory of those who were brutally murdered on Sept. 11th to have the leaders behind these cowardly acts of terrorism sit in a courtroom blocks away from ground zero and reap the full benefits and protections of the U.S. Constitution.

Senator Bond, a typical craven Republican coward who is clearly not mature enough to handle the awesome responsibility that goes with self-governance in a Constitutionally limited, democratically elected, representative government, states that giving terror suspects a fair trial would only serve to provide a platform for them to spread their terrorist viewpoints, proving that in the mind of a Republican, our Constitution is too weak to stand up to the insane musings of an indicted terrorist.

Of course, normal people know that Republicans live in a Bizarro World where indentured servitude to trans-national corporations equals (=) freedom and roving wiretaps without judicial oversight equals (=) security, so naturally it is almost expected that these anchors on normal society decry any form of Constitutional government.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), also chimed in with this chorus of whiners and revealed his own cowardice and inability to live in a free society when he stated,

“The Obama Administration’s irresponsible decision to prosecute the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks in New York City puts the interests of liberal special interest groups before the safety and security of the American people. The possibility that Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his co-conspirators could be found ‘not guilty’ due to some legal technicality just blocks from Ground Zero should give every American pause.”

Clearly, Boehner and his cowardly Republican ilk have so little faith in our system of government they would rather do the bidding of the terrorists by dismantling it, rather than show the strength of the United States by granting all persons access to it’s great legal system, regardless of the severity of their crimes.

In May, House Republicans displayed their cowardice and awe of the mighty terrorists by introducing H.R. 2294, which would stop the transfer or release of terrorists held at the Guantanamo Bay prison into the United States.

The bill, known as the “Keep Terrorists Out of America Act,” was also an act of political theater. Republicans know that the mere act of proposing it will activate their cowardly base of racists and xenophobes. “The Party of No” has a vested interest in making normal Americans (non-Republicans) frightened with the believe that terrorists are so powerful that, like some Marvel Comic super villain, no human jail can hold them and no mere mortal American psyche can stand to be within earshot of their ideology lest they fall into a trance and whilst in the mist of their hypnotic super-sway, run away and join the Taliban.

Normal Americans (non-Republicans) are conscious of the awesome responsibility of cultivating a democratic society of free people, bound by the law and traditions of self governance passed down from our founders, many of whom died in the process of wresting the absolute power of life, death and detainment into their own hands. With their calls for special secret trials and special laws for crimes they deem more heinous due to their political expediency, Republicans would like to plunge our nation back to these dark ages where laws were subjectively applied or denied on the whims of a King.

Meanwhile, in the reality-based world… in spite of the incessant background noise of Republican whining, obfuscation, deception and outright sabotage, normal Americans continued to attempt to move our country forward and realize the dreams of our founders, safe in the knowledge that America is at its greatest when it abides by its noble principals, even in regards to those who may seek to damage it.

Cheney Needs More Souls

Not satisfied with only killing over 1 million civilians and over 6 thousand American soldiers in the wars of choice in Iraq and Afghanistan that he started based on lies and affronts to our Constitution, Dick Cheney criticized our duly-elected President for “dithering” and not immediately condemning to more souls to death for Cheney’s pleasure.

Cheney’s “dithering” remark was sharply criticized by most normal people who understand that sending people to die in an oil war of choice is not something one does in “knee-jerk” fashion. Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist, journalist, and author George Will said, “A bit of dithering might have been in order before we went into Iraq in pursuit of non-existent weapons of mass destruction.” Although we all know that Cheney was planning to invade Iraq from the time he was an operative in the Nixon Crime Family and this “weapons of mass destruction” ruse was a lynch pin that enabled him to bring his warmongering wet-dream to fruition.

Cheney’s comment came as he was accepting the “Keeper of the Flame” award from the Conservative nest of ghouls that calls itself the “Center for Security Policy.” This so-called CONservative “think tank” is a well-know bunch of America haters who view our Constitution as a Goddamned piece of paper that gets in the way of their designs for total corporate rule, had previously called for George W. Bush to become “President for Life” and follow the model of Julius Caesar by murdering the indigenous people of Iraq and re-populating it with American citizens.

Let’s hope that normal Americas (non-Republicans) can hear above the incessant din of Fox News propaganda and wake up to the fact that the Republican Party exists solely and completely to turn us into the “United States of Serfs and Lords” with a small ruling elite controlling the wealth and power, and a large underclass of Serfs who are so busy trying to keep their heads above water that they are too tired to rebel.

In keeping with the Republican mission to be the anchor that drags normal society down, professional paranoiac and Republican crybaby Glenn Beck went on corporate America’s protection racket network, Fox News, to urge his viewers to continue contributing nothing to society.

Railing against a new spirit of volunteerism urged by the White House and helped by a Hollywood charitable organization called The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), Glenn Beck likened television plots showing characters volunteering in their communities with the work of communists.

Being that Republicans add absolutely no value to society, any attempt to encourage them to contribute only serves to confuse and anger them. Beck took the usual stance of trying to convince his willfully ignorant audience that he was a lone patriot confronting a communist plot. Read more about that here.

This latest appeal to the innate Republican psychological trait of pathological narcissism coupled with inaction came as no surprise to normal people (non-Republicans) given the fact that Beck’s compatriot in propaganda, Rush Limbaugh, had himself earlier urged his listeners to keep contributing nothing to society on the anniversary of the September 11th Terrorist attacks when our duly-elected President had designated it a national day of service.

The incessant attacks on normal society’s attempts to awaken a spirit of community and undo the damage wrought by failed Republican policies that thrive on fear, paranoia and selfishness was no surprise given the fact that most often Republicans suffer from an astonishing amount of anti-social character flaws that cause them to keep voting for Republicans.

A failed morning drive “shock jock” before he found a niche audience by appealing to the mental illness of Republicans, Glenn Beck, himself an admitted manic-depressive, alcoholic and drug addict, also took the opportunity to whine about what victims Republicans are and made a false equivelency a false equivalency between Hollywood featuring volunteerism in the context of their shows and Armstrong Williams being exposed as a paid propagandist to promote Bush’s “No Child Left Behind.”

“During the Bush Administration, the media slammed the Administration for paying a conservative for supporting the Bush Administration’s education plan. Remember…? They did their job then. Where are you now?” Beck said in his usual, slithery, cry-baby whine.

Of course, in the ongoing effort to make sure his audience is stupid enough to vote for Republicans, Beck failed to mention the fact that Armstrong Williams’ paid role was a secret and his glowing praise of Bush’s education policy was an advertisement meant to mislead the public masquerading as a news article whereas the White House push for volunteerism is completely out in the open – press conferences and all.

Never one to let the facts get in the way of Republican dead-end ideology and myth, Beck also fancies himself a modern-day Thomas Paine, resting confidently in his own ignorance and that of his audience who are too stupid and uneducated to know that Thomas Paine was, in fact, a proud liberal who called not only for the redistribution of wealth, but also universal health care, universal education, social security, and workers rights.

We can only hope that for the sake of intelligent public discourse, Beck will follow his mother, his brother and numerous other members of his family and make good on his threats of suicide. On that day, the American Body Politic will sigh gratefully.

Due to their immediate disqualification from consideration on the grounds of incessant illegal warmongering, fear mongering, race baiting and gay bashing, President Obama’s Nobel Prize award has so upset members of the “The Party of No” that their leader Rush Limbaugh let slip on his protection racket that he is a Taliban operative masquerading as a soon-to-be fat again, Viagra abusing in the Dominican Republic, Drug addled rumored closeted gay thrice divorced millionaire “every man.”

Confirming the suspicions of normal Americans (non-Republicans), Limbaugh stated his hatred of America and exposed his Taliban sympathies. Knowing that his brain dead listeners are stupid enough vote for Republicans and ignorant enough to agree with everything he says, Limbaugh confidently stated, “I’m on the same side of something with the Taliban, and that we all are on the same side as the Taliban” confident that Corporate America will continue to pay his protection fees.

In a fascinating glimpse into the distorted mania that is the Republican psyche, where the threat of having the rich pay their fair share of tax equals “poor” and when we’re talking about war, we’re really talkin’ about peace, Limbaugh described our President winning the world’s most prestigious world as a statement that our President is “a worldwide joke.”

Listen to his Anti-American tirade here:

Meanwhile, in the reality based community, normal Americans were proud of their President and optimistic that the rest of the Planet graciously welcomed them back into the world community, in spite of their failure to rise up up when a war-mongering sociopath and his destructive Republican Party stole two elections, violated international treaties and wiped his ass with domestic and international laws for the previous 8 years.

We can only expect grunts from pigs

Republicans prove once again that they have more loyalty to the collection of sociopaths and Neanderthals known as “The Party of No” then they do to our country, as they are absolutely overjoyed that the Olympics committee did not choose Chicago to host the 2016 games.

In an amazing display of Anti-Americanism usually found in members of Al-Qaeda, Erick Erickson, writer for the World Wide Web’s cesspool known as the RedState blog immediately waxed seditiously with an article that could be have been attributed to an emotionally disturbed 5th grader, opening his post with, “Hahahahaha”

Another willfully ignorant America hater with the moniker “izoneguy” followed with the comment, “Erick…. you seem to take such glee in his failure? HA HA So do I……Great News! Thank You….. It is breaking on FOX now.”

Crazy-eyed CONservative apologist Michelle Malkin joined the chorus, writing that the Obama campaign motto of “Yes We Can” should be changed to “No, You Can’t.” Her comment was reflective of the entire Republican philosophy of never attempting to do anything positive for one’s country, except trying to make it fail and/or waiting on a hill for Jesus to return.

Hotline on Call released a video taken at the so-called Americans For Prosperity’s “Defending the American Dream Summit,” of annoying 25-year old ideologue Emily Marie Zanotti of the irritatingly-titled “American Princess” blog interrupting a seminar to share what she believed was the good news that Chicago was out of the running. The room broke out in applause and high-fives.

I haven’t witnessed a group of people so jubilant at the news of an American defeat since the video of Osama Bin Laden gloating over the collapse of the Twin Towers.

From Rush Limbaugh’s announcement that he hopes we fail, to the paranoid Michele Bachman that got a Census worker killed, to the Facebook poll asking if President Obama should be assassinated to, to Representative Trent Franks calling President Obama “an enemy of humanity,” the calls for a Military Coup against our duly-elected President, and on and on and on and on… it now is a daily occurrence for normal Americans (non-Republicans) to be assaulted by the Anti-American, seditious rhetoric from this once-major, increasingly marginalized, political party and their hostile supporters.

If today’s example of Republican divisiveness proves anything, it is that the party of Lincoln is long gone, replaced by a destructive death cult that actively works against American interests. Republicans will stop at nothing to destroy this country if only to prove to themselves right.

“The Party of No’s” last Presidential campaign slogan of “Country First” was an insincere ploy that only applies during Republican administrations. We must face this truth, act accordingly, and not let the treasonous collection of sociopaths known as the Republican Party get in the way of normal Americans trying to create “more perfect union.”

It has been said, show me a person who has never failed and I will show you a person who has never achieved much. Normal Americans can still be proud that our President is advocating in the best interest of our country. As Bill Maher said tonight, “At least when Obama bombs in another country, no one gets killed.”
