Republican Dirty Tricks

You really want to give yourself a scare this Halloween?  Take a peek into the dark minds of a collection of ghouls who bring pain, divisiveness and death to everything that they touch.  America’s very own living nightmare – the Cheney clan.

The patriarch, Dick Cheney, is a warmongering chicken hawk who supported the Vietnam War; famously saying in his Secretary of Defense confirmation hearing that he “would have obviously been happy to serve had I been called” but in reality dodged the draft 5 times using every deferment he could get his claws around.

The matriarch is Lynn Cheney, a woman who endures her marriage to a man, even his friends call Darth Cheney, by writing “Sisters,”mis graphic lesbian frontier fiction about the wife of a powerful Washington insider who escapes her trappings and flees to a all-woman’s sexually-charged commune in the west (one can dream… Ms. Cheney… one can dream…) …. And, oh yeah, children’s books that re-write history with a conservative slant.

Then we have Mary Cheney.  An out lesbian who has a two-year old son with her partner of 17 years, Heather Poe, but is so self-loathing that she throws money behind Republican candidates who actively work for to keep her a second-class citizen.

Last, but not least, is the chip off the old block, Liz Cheney.  Liz is currently a Fox News media darling for her ability to rewrite history with a straight face.

Never one to miss an opportunity to lie to the American public, Liz Cheney recently criticized President Obama for visiting Dover Air Force base in the pre-dawn hours to salute the ultimate sacrifice of soldiers murdered in her father’s lie-based illegal war of choice by lying, “I don’t understand sort of showing up with the White House press pool with photographers and asking family members if you can take pictures.  I just, that’s really hard for me to get my head around… It was a surprising way for the President to choose to do it…. I think that what President Bush used to do is do it without the cameras.”  Liz Cheney knows full-well that Bush never met the returning caskets of the soldiers he murdered with his lies and lust for power, but she also knows that the ideologues she appeals to will never let the truth get in the way of their manias.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and, like her father Dick, Liz Cheney makes a habit out of making the facts fit around the fiction she is fabricating in the hope of keeping people stupid enough to vote Republican.

Independent media research has found that Fox News viewers are overwhelmingly misinformed about issues facing our country today.  That’s no accident, and being devoid of morals like her father and the rest of the Cheney scourge, Liz Cheney has no qualms with being a one-woman media misinformation machine.

In defense of the indefensible lies her father told in order to send American soldiers and Iraqi civilians to their deaths in his oil war, Liz Cheney misinformed Faux News viewers that her father never said there was a link between Iraq, Al Qaeda and 9/11,  “He has not said that there is a connecting between Saddam Hussein and 9 -11”

The fact that we have video of Dick Cheney on “Meet the Press” saying just that, is of no matter to Liz Cheney – she is resting assured that Americans have been so beaten by 30 years of Reaganomics, trying to keep their heads above water, pay their Greenspan-inspired debts, while simultaneously struggling not to fall into the “uniquely American” medical bankruptcy that they won’t check the record and simply accept her lies on face value.

Just as the Huffington Post reported that Cheney lied to the FBI about his not knowing who committed treason and leaked the name of a covert CIA agent, it is clear that the pattern of simply lying to our faces has been established and employed so readily that we can say with assurance that it is no accident, it is a strategy.

The Cheney strategy of lying to the American people is evidence to how much they truly disrespect and disdain the American people – these are the people who are expendable.  They are the dupes whose backs they have rode to the bank for generations.

To the Cheney family, the ends justify the means.  Their true goal is to is to destroy the dreams of our founders by enshrining a small ruling elite in positions of power who rule over a large dumb and overworked underclass who are simply to overwhelmed and uninformed to rebel.

If they actually respected the American people, having their best intentions and aspirations at heart, they wouldn’t so cynically manipulate the debate with lies.  This easy willingness to inject such poison into our body politic also speaks volumes about the wickedness of their cause.

By the time Dick Cheney left the office of Vice President, his approval rating was down to 18%.  Any normal person will logically ask, “why is that number so high?”

Normal people also know that if the Cheney’s causes are so righteous, they wouldn’t have to cloak them in the mask of falsity, they could simply stand on their own merit but the Cheney clan are not possessed of honor enough to step back into the shadows as we attempt to heal from the miseries they inflicted.

The reason these unpopular failures getting such airtime are because their mission to create the “United States of Serfs and Lords” has not been fully accomplished.   Give them time.  They’re working on it.
